With reference to your letter dated yesterday and encresite Pension Regulations A and B: I regret that, owing to the physical infirmities peculiar to age I cannot now grasp the detail given sufficiently to enable me to decide which of the alternative awards would be the more advantageous to me; moreover I have no exact information as to how the increased Cost of Living Bonus has been adapted to the Hongkong Service or the precise salary upon which it is proposed to base the Final Award. In these circumstances may I therefore beg that the results of the two optional awards may be sent to me in simple figures to enable me to come to a decision. I return the copies of the Pension Regulations A. and B. as directed.

It would be appreciated if the reply could be expedited please.
